I just want to say that they were incredible builders. Let the record reflect that not only did they come out on the hottest day of the year, but they had to wear long-sleeved clothes and masks because they were installing insulation, which requires additional protection. And they did a great job! I want to thank them on behalf of Habitat for Humanity and the families they built homes with. You make a really good point. Any costs that can be offset by utilizing a volunteer VS a paid staff member is money that can go towards the mission of the charity. Almost every charity that I've worked with will find something for you to do if you are interested in volunteering. I will be checking the restaurant in the next few weeks to see if I can enjoy a warm scraping of delicious raclette cheese during a cold winter night.
