Nestled between Belle Meade and Morningside, lies the little known enclave of Bayside. This upscale historic district is comprised of only five blocks and is bordered by NE 72nd Street to the north, NE 69th to the south, Biscayne Boulevard to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east. This affluent and exclusive neighborhood contains some 210 homes of various architectural styles including Art Deco, Mediterranean Mission Revival and Moderne. Lush exotic landscaping and leafy palms cover the grounds of these beautiful Bayside homes adding to an already tropical feel. Several waterfront homes feature open bay views and those who prefer unobstructed views of the entire bay area can opt for one of several tall condominium towers that loom unobtrusively above Bayside.
Bayside is a shady and secluded neighborhood whose residents come from all over the world. This interesting blend of cultures and lifestyles gives this neighborhood a hip feel that is less noticeable in other upscale Miami neighborhoods. Bayside residents are friendly and warm making it a ‘genuine neighborhood’. Though it is not a gated community, Bayside maintains a sense of privacy. This community is only five blocks in size and slightly removed from more populated areas giving residents the best of both worlds. Bayside is one of few neighborhoods left in the Miami-Dade area combining security, seclusion, exclusivity and an undeniable ‘cool’ factor.
Considering that it is a centrally located yet still hidden waterfront community, home values are still lower than other parts of the city.
